Update from Parks & Rec - fall hikes, youth soccer and racquet sports

 This week's notes:

Good morning St. George!  Parks and Rec news as we head into October...
Time for a fall hike? - For those that are looking to get some fresh air and look at some foliage, we will bring the hiking club back on Saturday, October 3rd for a walk on the Les Hyde trail that goes behind the library and the school and skirts the marsh.  2 PM on Saturday.  We will leave from the library parking lot.
A reminder that there is an online prescreening for parents to fill out each Saturday morning before their child attends. (see below)
  Oct 3, 17
K-2  9:00-10:00
3-4  10:30-11:30
5-6  12:00-1:00
Players that attend at least 3 of the 4 sessions will receive a St. George Soccer T-shirt!
A BIG thank you to all the parents who are doing such a great job supporting our program by submitting the pre-screening questionnaire!  Together, we can keep everyone healthy and provide recreation opportunities for our community.
Youth Soccer Pre-Screening Link:  As has been advertised, youth soccer begins this Saturday.  In addition to requiring face coverings for all participants, we are asking parents who have children participating to fill out a quick pre-screening questionnaire on Saturday morning before bringing their soccer player to the field.  The link for that form is listed here -
Racquet sports updates:
The courts at the big ball field are now open.  Thank you for your patience while the courts were resurfaced.
There is a sign up sheet for the courts. Court 2 now has both tennis and pickleball lines.
Thank you for your courteous use of the courts.
The courts will close for the season on or before October 30, depending on the weather.
FYI - Portapotties at the Landing Field and the beach parking lot will be coming out today, Sep 29.   The port a potty at the Big Ball Field will be removed October 19th.
Respectfully submitted,
