Update from Parks & Rec - SKATING!! and Ski Club

 P&R NEWS FLASH! 1/22/21

With the cold nights we have had and the forecast for more over the next week to ten days, we are able to open the rink. We want to thank you in advance for your courteous use of the facility. That courteous use includes:
  • No vehicles past the barriers.
  • Please take anything with you that you brought, including trash and returnables.
  • No Smoking
  • No Alcohol
  • Be mindful of wearing a mask if there is a group using the rink

After further consideration, the Snow Bowl is not going to be able to host groups on Fridays, so we will be have to stay on Thursdays for the remainder of this season. To be honest, I was surprised they said yes to Fridays, since in the past that was not allowed. I apologize for any inconvenience for this change. If you want to vent about this, please call me. I am happy to listen and it saves any blow back from the Snow Bowl. They are doing their best to allow our group to come under what we all know are difficult conditions with COVID restrictions.
Its important for everyone to keep in mind that when you go as part of a group we are known by the behavior of every member of the group, so if you are upset by this change or any other issue, I would rather have you blow off steam at me, rather than jeopardize the whole operation. I thank you in advance for your understanding : )
They are also limiting rentals to 15 due to staff shortages there, so be sure to get in early to register here at the town office.
On another note, I want to take this opportunity to thank some key folks who are making this possible:
Randall Thissell, our ski leader
Patty, Magan, Tara and Terri in the office for processing the fees and registration.

 Stay well!

Respectfully submitted,
